3. How Translation Works

When you translate text using Talkie:

1. aThe selected text is sent from the Chrome extension to the Talkie macOS application running on your computer via Chrome's Native Messaging protocol.
2. bThe Talkie app processes the translation entirely on your device using Apple's built-in Neural Engine and machine learning models.
3. cThe translation result is sent back to the extension and displayed on the webpage.
4. dNo data is ever transmitted to external servers, cloud services, or third parties.

4. Data Storage

• User preferences (such as target language) are stored locally in Chrome's storage
• Translation history (if enabled) is stored only on your local Mac
• No data is stored on any external servers

5. Third-Party Services

This extension does not use any third-party services, analytics, or APIs. All functionality is provided through local communication with the Talkie macOS application.
